Through weekly sessions, participants will learn the essential principles, attitudes, and methods to engage with the Quran deeply, making it a relevant and living message in our lives.
Course Outline:
- Week 1: Reverence vs. Relevance – Rediscovering Our Relationship with the Quran
Explore the traditional reverence Muslims have for the Quran and discuss how to shift from mere respect to practical engagement. Delve into the purpose of the Quran as Allah’s message to humanity and set the foundation for a transformative relationship.
- Week 2: Approach with the Heart – The Attitude and Intentions for Engaging the Quran
Examine the mindset needed to approach the Quran sincerely, including humility, eagerness to learn, and the intention to act. Learn practical techniques for cultivating an open and reflective heart before, during, and after reading.
- Week 3: Understanding and Reflecting – Rules, Tips, and Principles for Studying the Quran
Gain insights into effective ways of reading and understanding the Quran, including basic rules, principles for interpreting the verses, and tips to avoid common pitfalls in personal study. Begin applying these methods with guided exercises for deeper reflection.
- Week 4: Living the Message – Bringing the Quran into Daily Life
Discover how to integrate the Quran’s teachings into everyday actions, decisions, and interactions. Develop a personal plan for regular engagement with the Quran and discuss the importance of living the message to truly benefit from its guidance.

Teacher:
Moulana Hafith Qari Saalim Peck brings a distinguished and multifaceted background in Islamic education and service. After matriculating from Islamia College, he pursued Islamic studies at Darun Naim and continued at Darul Uloom Al-Arabiya Islamia in Strand. Throughout his journey, he has studied under several prominent Quran teachers, with a strong focus on Quran and Quranic sciences. Currently, Moulana Saalim serves as Head of Department at the Taha Institute, located in Portland, as well as the Learn Quran Foundation, where he leads the Quran studies program. He is also the Imam at Stegman Road Masjid in Claremont and serves as the Director of Quwwah Strength Academy, where he conducts kettlebell training classes. Enjoys surfing, and hiking and camping with his family
