Workshop Synopsis
Growing up with dignity, confidence and adab.
Switching Gears introduces boys to puberty in a respectful Islamic environment. Physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual changes are explained in an age-appropriate, non-embarrassing way — while connecting maturity to cleanliness, modesty, self-control, salah and personal accountability.
What They Will Learn
Essential knowledge for the next stage of growing up.
The workshop keeps learning practical and focused, giving boys a clear Islamic framework for understanding change and growing responsibility.
Puberty, hormones, testosterone, wet dreams and common physical changes.
Wudhu, ghusl, cleanliness, body odour, clothing and preparing for salah.
Awrah, privacy, lowering the gaze and respectful Islamic interaction.
Changing moods, thoughts, healthy responses and emotional awareness.
Understanding how maturity brings greater personal and spiritual responsibility.
Growing with confidence, good character, discipline and responsibility.
Facilitators

A balanced combination of Islamic guidance and practical youth mentorship in a comfortable learning environment.

- For GPS, enter 530 Lansdowne Road due to the Google Maps location error.
- Entrance is through Unique Hijabs Store on the main road.
- Parking is available in front of the store and along the sides of the main road.
- Security guards will be on duty; please follow their instructions.
- Air-conditioning and wudu facilities are available on-site.
