Workshop Synopsis

Growing up with dignity, confidence and adab.

Switching Gears introduces boys to puberty in a respectful Islamic environment. Physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual changes are explained in an age-appropriate, non-embarrassing way — while connecting maturity to cleanliness, modesty, self-control, salah and personal accountability.

What They Will Learn

Essential knowledge for the next stage of growing up.

The workshop keeps learning practical and focused, giving boys a clear Islamic framework for understanding change and growing responsibility.

01Body & change

Puberty, hormones, testosterone, wet dreams and common physical changes.

02Purity & hygiene

Wudhu, ghusl, cleanliness, body odour, clothing and preparing for salah.

03Modesty & boundaries

Awrah, privacy, lowering the gaze and respectful Islamic interaction.

04Emotions & self-control

Changing moods, thoughts, healthy responses and emotional awareness.

05Worship & accountability

Understanding how maturity brings greater personal and spiritual responsibility.

06Young Muslim manhood

Growing with confidence, good character, discipline and responsibility.

Facilitators

  • Air-conditioning and wudu facilities are available on-site.
