Workshop Synopsis
Switching Gears introduces boys to puberty in a respectful Islamic environment. The workshop explains physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual changes in a non-embarrassing way, while connecting maturity to cleanliness, modesty, self-control, salah and personal accountability.
Learning Outcomes
Understand puberty, hormones, testosterone, wet dreams and common changes boys may experience.
Learn when wudhu or ghusl may be required in common age-appropriate situations.
Build habits around hygiene, clean clothing, body odour and salah preparation.
Recognise awrah, privacy, lowering the gaze and respectful interaction.
Understand moods, thoughts, self-control and healthy responses to change.
Connect growing up to worship, accountability and becoming a responsible young Muslim man.
