Qur’an Reading for Beginners Workshop
Bismillāhir Raḥmānir Raḥīm
A practical 12-week programme for absolute beginners who want to learn how to read the Arabic script of the Qur’an with confidence.
Open to teens, adults, seniors, and new Muslims. Students move step by step from recognising Arabic letters to reading selected verses from the Qur’an.
Absolute Beginners
Ideal for students starting from scratch or those who need structure, correction and confidence.

A steady beginner pathway with teacher-guided learning and practical reading support.

Build towards reading selected Qur’anic verses with greater accuracy and basic Tajwīd awareness.
Three simple learning phases
Building the Foundation
Arabic letters, correct sounds and letter forms at the beginning, middle and end of words.
Unlocking Words
Short vowels, long vowels, Sukūn, Shaddah and Tanwīn with simple word blending.
Reading from the Qur’an
Selected verses from Juz ‘Amma with basic Tajwīd, stopping rules and correction.
Qur’an teachers
Haafith Qaari Moulana Saalim Peck (HOD)
HOD. Graduate of Darul Uloom Al-Arabiya Islamia, Strand. Specializes in the Qur’an and its sciences. Will be hosting the Saturday sessions assisted by the 2 Hufa
Haafith Moulana Muzammil Adams
Completed Hifz at Zakariyah Institute and Dar al Tarbiyah, then pursued ‘Alimiyyah studies at DUAI. Will be hosting the Monday sessions assisted by the 2 Hufa
Haafith Muaath Rayyan Manie
Began memorisation under Imam Rayyan Manie and continued with Shaykh Ali David. Teaches all ages.
Haafitha Zulfah Dolley
Began Hifdh in 2016 and continued at Darun An’im. Completed an Arabic intensive in 2019.
