In a world overwhelmed by conflicting ideologies and mass confusion, grounding yourself in the essentials of Islamic belief is more crucial than ever. “Jewels of Faith: Introduction to Islamic Creed” offers a comprehensive journey into the core of Aqidah, the bedrock of Islamic faith.
Aqidah, meaning “creed” in Islam, is the foundation upon which all other Islamic sciences rest. Without a solid understanding of this foundation, the value of one’s knowledge is incomplete. This course is rooted in the teachings of Shaykh Ṭāhir al-Jazā’irī, a renowned 20th-century Damascene scholar of Hadith, Tafsir, and the Arabic language. His simple yet profound text on Islamic creed, presented in a question-and-answer format, forms the backbone of this course.
Over the span of nine weeks, this course will cover the basics while offering a comprehensive exploration of all the articles of faith. Each lesson is enriched with references to pertinent Qur’anic verses and prophetic traditions, making it an ideal introduction to Islamic creed for both novice and intermediate students.
Course Content:
- Belief in Allah (SWT)
- Belief in Angels
- Belief in Divine Books
- Belief in Prophets and Messengers
- Belief in the Day of Judgment
- Belief in Predestination
Course Outcomes:
By the end of this course, participants will:
Understand the principles of correct Islamic belief.
Grasp the prerequisites for a believer’s faith.
Gain a solid understanding of the fundamentals of Usul Al-Deen (Aqidah).
This course is not just an educational experience but a spiritual enrichment, guiding you to the heart of Islamic belief. Whether you’re beginning your journey or seeking to strengthen your understanding, “Jewels of Faith” is your key to unlocking the treasures of Aqidah.
